A Subdermal Control Panel to a fembot, or android, is a control panel, which instead of being located inside some sort of panel that needs to be opened up or removed, is located beneath the skin via some sort of lit up touch interface.

In fiction

  • In the TV series Almost Human, all of the androids and fembots have subdermal lighting on their heads whenever they are processing large amounts of data.
  • In the CBBC series "Eve", the titular character has subdermal controls on her wrists that can shut her down, activate her, or even remove her limbs.
