She gasped as, at my order, the cover suddenly retracted over her controls. Her necklace clinked against the screen which flashed up some minor selfware alerts showing her system spiking briefly. She looked up at me, shocked… "Shit, I didn't know you could do that! That felt so weird, my systems just responded outside my control! I don't think… Wait, I'm saving my settings, what's happ-" She cut off abruptly and straightened up to stare blankly ahead as her personality emulation finally closed. We go through this every time I need o make some adjustments or just deactivate her like now. Erin's selfware simply doesn't recognize that she is programmed to respond to authorized voice commands so she's always surprised. I could have the lag fixed or just set up an auto-mute but I quite enjoy her brief confusion… |
