Erotic Recovery
Chiyou is dressed in her usual World United Government uniform. The grey suit is not the most flattering, but she loves what it represents. The red highlights at the edge of the cloth does give it some more personality. She has slightly modified it to her own liking of course, choosing to leave the top half of it open. Underneath her cleavage is bound by some medical tape to make sure that they don’t get uncomfortable or in her way when fighting. She takes her fighting very seriously. She is a meticulously designed android made by the UN, in order to combat any potential threats they have. Deep in her AI, the prime directive of combat paints over each and every decision and thought she has. She has to be the most effective at completing the orders of the WUG and protecting those she was born to protect.
She is standing at the edge of a cliff, with a large forest in front of her. She looks out at the lovely, pristine weather around her. She can’t exactly ‘feel’ the air around her. The gentle warmth of the sun, and the cool refreshing breeze. She is aware of these sensations, but the way her internal computing systems inform her of these things are far more detached. Distant.
She continues to stare ahead, being watchful of the trees. Her eyes are able to zoom in with astonishing clarity, and pick up many little easy to miss details. The UN had received information that there was a rebellious group attempting to challenge their democracy. Chiyou, along with many other UN soldiers, and a few fellow androids have gathered here to intercept the rebel group before they make it anywhere they can deal real damage. Chiyou is deeply dedicated to her work as a super soldier. Partly due to strong programming to inspire a sense of inherent support for the World United Government. But the personality basis for her AI is a deeply proud and dedicated woman. One who takes her job seriously and has strong convictions of justice. She detests those who oppose what she considered the absolute arbiters of justice. So missions like these were incredibly important to her.
Just as she was reminiscing on her pride for the UN, she notices an odd rustling in the bushes and is instantly on high alert. She waits for just a moment longer, and sees a shadow of someone running by. She quickly sounds an alarm for all of her comrades there and jumps down into the woods to catch the would-be terrorist. She doesn’t see anyone for a moment, but soon enough someone emerges from the trees and jumps back upon making eye contact with her. She waits for them to make the first move. Even though every part of her was desperately itching for a fight. The man reaches for his back to pull out a gun. Chiyou leaps forward at incredible speed and punches him in the stomach. He lands against the tree as is largely incapacitated. It doesn't look like he will resist much longer. Biological humans never do. She races over and snaps the gun he had in two. By this point sounds of fighting and gunfire rain all around her. She knows she can handle the human combatants to the human soldiers. She needed to focus on the androids. She flies into the air, and begins to scan the area for anyone else freely airborne as she is. She gets momentarily distracted by one of her own fellow super soldiers flying, before spotting a unit that she is unfamiliar with. She charges forward once more. Only this time, she is actually beaten in speed. The figure disappears from sight and Chiyou is struck from behind. She hurdles to the ground for a second, stunned. But quickly regains her composure and her flight as she recovers. She turns back to look at the android, finding another woman. She had brown hair, but strikingly blue eyes. Chiyou refuses to spend too much time simply assessing the enemies appearance and flies towards her. She is met in the middle by the android, and Chiyou catches a punch she swiftly throws at her. Chiyou returns with one of her own but the woman is seemingly too quick. Chiyou may not be the fastest android, but she is confident in her strength. She attempts a few more times, trying to close the distance. But the enemy android seems to prefer fighting at mid-range, only coming close to quickly strike than retreat. Chiyou is hit a few more times like this, only by simple attacks, and ones that don’t deal a lot of damage either. But she can feel each hit doing a bit more. Her internals only rattled with the first few. But now she can feel steel snapping. The threat level is considerably rising as she evades each of Chiyou’s attacks.
Getting slightly frustrated, Chiyou reaches for her hairpins, and uses it to generate her spear. Green energy crackles and shimmers as the spear forms. Chiyou feels most comfortable with a spear in her hands. She charges once more, with a quick trio of jabs. The brunette android skillfully dodges once more, but this was expected. She swings it around and catches them in the side with the spear, slamming them. They fall into the forest, and Chiyou quickly makes chase. Just as she passes the trees and finds herself in the secluded greenery, she takes a heavy blow to the stomach. Considerably heavier than any of the previous attacks. As Chiyou reels from the attack, she sees the female android healing as she lays against the tree. And the new assailant is a taller man, with short black hair. He fist is almost smoking, with a vaguely red hue. As her stomach heals, the mechanics that make up her body mend themselves back together. Wires connecting into motherboard slots she considers her options. The threat of two androids at once is maxing out her threat level matrix. Chiyou grins. The tip of her spear begins to crackle with green lightning, as it forms into her system's sub core.
The man rushes towards her, hoping to stop whatever is happening. Her spear snaps towards him, faster than ever before and pierces into his shoulder. The artificial skin is ruptured, and the grey metals are seen inside before the wound is healed. He stares back at her, eyes beginning to glow red. He hops from side to side, almost noticeably heating up with each step. She juts out her spear, and it is batted away by his fist. They trade attacks one by one. Blocking, evading, counter attacking in an increasing rhythm. But as each attempts to circumvent the other's attack, it's clear that Chiyou is plateauing, while the man is exponentially increasing in speed. She begins to struggle, each of his attacks grazing her. More and more of her artificial skin gets ripped off to be quickly replaced. Her healing is still strong, but even with her sub-core, she is behind. The man adorns an odd grin and his fist bursts into a strong flame. She blinks and he appears in front of her, and strongly places his fist in her abdomen. The power behind the strike is not something she has felt in her entire existence. Granted as a super soldier, her existence is fairly short compared to the humans who had to grow up from a baby. But in all of the action she has been in, this was the worst. She feels her body attempt to piece things back together, but it stalls. Like an old lawnmower failing to start, the pieces snap under their own weight as quickly as they are fixed. She takes a step but her body falters and she collapses to the ground. Her core is damaged. That's the only way to explain her lack of regenerative abilities right now. She knows what she has to do. The tip of her spear once more glows. Her spear is still firmly in her hands. Even in death that wouldn’t change.
She sputters out a cough. It’s not like she has lungs or anything. But rather the mechanism for speech is getting crammed full of parts and wires, causing difficulty to speak. But she doesn’t need to talk. Her grin says enough. An explosion of green energy sparks from her core, and the tip of her spear. She brings it close to herself, and clings onto it hard. Gripping it like it's the only partner she has ever had. She is engulfed in the green electricity. A small shockwave is sent out, causing a cloud of dirt and debris to obscure her for a moment. The man blocks his retinal cameras by shielding his eyes from the small explosion. Eventually her form enters their field of view. She is now at Surt level 10. Her appearance has changed accordingly. Now sporting an outfit that resembles a mix of ancient chinese warfare, and more modern chinese dresses. They equally wrap around her body, interlocking. She is slightly more pale. And her pinkish hair that was before held together with a few braids and a bun, now flows in the air. A singular ponytail is all that is atop her head. She ambiently emits a green aura, as the energy leaks out of her. She knows she has limited time.
Before the camera can even register the change in frame, Chiyou moves from beside her tree to behind the man she was previously struggling with. She strikes expertly three times. Once in the back, and the other two his legs. He crumples to the ground, metal parts leaking out of him. Crumpled and torn pieces now revealed under his ripped pants. Just as Chiyou moves to destroy his core before he can heal, she instead dodges to the side. The brunette angrily mumbles to herself, failing to catch Chiyou by surprise with her speed. The android lets out a flurry of punches and kicks. Chiyou effortlessly blocks and evades each and every strike. She then returns with one of her own and the android once more goes flying. She races behind and meets the android at the tree she was hurtling towards before she can even make it, and catches the robot. She stares into her eyes for a moment, and then punches her in the stomach. And again, and again. Finally her partially cracked core is revealed. Chiyou lets go of the android, and before she can fall to the ground, a single roundhouse kick completely shatters the exposed core. That android is dealt with.
Unfortunately it gave the other enough time to heal. And to accurately assess the danger level of Chiyou’s new form. And meets with his own. His hair shifts from black to grey, his outfit similarly changes, sporting a more modern militaristic look. And both his fists are now adorned with gauntlets that are ablaze. He throws a punch that she scarcely dodges, and attempts to counter attack with her own. Unfortunately his body is now incredibly sturdy and he knocks her away with his second attack. Seeing on her HUD the timer tick down before she is completely incapacitated, Chiyou decides to end things quickly. She calms down, waiting for him to find her in the part of the forest she was knocked into. Once he comes into view, she chargers once more. This time putting in all the energy she has into a single hit. It is engulfed in her signature green energy, and she pounds his chest with it. She watches as her arm completely shatters on impact. The metal all snapping under the force of the attack. But luckily the same can be said for him. He is on the ground now, sparks flying. His systems are barely operational. His core is now exposed and intensely damaged. But Chiyou has suffered similar injuries. She manages to hobble over to him. And with the last of her strength, she places her boot onto his core and crushes it. She stumbles away, before collapsing a few metres away. Her HUD starts to dim as her consciousness fades. She has done good. She has served the UN…
When she awakes, she instinctively shoots up. But quickly finds her ability to do so lacking. Once her systems went offline, it seems the last of her cores energy that was still holding her in mostly one piece vanished. She is littler but a head and some mangled steel that used to her torso. The only reason she is able to see this and think about it, is the emergency core system she is hooked up to. UN roboticists and paramedics alike are swarming the forest. Luckily her speakers are mostly functional, so she is able to sputter something out to the people attending to her. “D-did we complete the mission?” She asks hoarsely. Maybe there was more damage to her voice than she thought. The first to answer her is a strong, large framed woman, with a portable soldering iron in her hands and a mass of tools beside her. Ranging from old and simple to futuristic and dizzying. “Yes, the mission was a success. Even the casualties were below the expected range. Good job soldier.” She says, fiddling with some mechanics just next to her. A wave of euphoria rushes over Chiyou’s motherboard. The congratulatory feeling of a job well done. Her body is no small sacrifice for the defence of the UN and the citizens they represent. She feels immensely proud of what she has done.
After spending a moment relishing in the feeling, she quickly feels a little self aggrandizing and decides to return to the matter at hand. “So what will happen to me… Kate?” She reads from her name tag. “I have never been damaged this severely before” “That's why we're here. We have spare parts to assemble your body, which will be enough to get you back to the UN labs where the scientists there will be as good as new.” She says. “Right now I am putting some parts together to make your torso. Since these are just spares, they aren't exactly… becoming of a lady like you. Hopefully you don’t mind” She holds up a hunk of dark blue metal. The chest is completely flat and it sports the UN logo on the front. If Chiyou’s body was functional, she would have blushed. “That's of no importance to me” She says confidently. But she is putting on a brave face. It's not as if the femininity of the pieces are exactly the problem. Though she has always liked her appearance, and these parts are a little annoying. The problem is that she is a proud and strong soldier. She feels uncomfortable being a burden in this way. Helpless. Instead she has to be aided, and it's not something she is used to.
“Good,” She says. “Alright, we are going to connect the wires first, and then we will properly connect your head to this. It is going to feel a little odd, so just get ready.” She says, putting everything in place and holding some connected wires from her neck. “O-ok! Ready.” She stutters. The moment the wires register the connection, the wave of sensation from her chest enters into her virtual brain. Her HUD is filled with warnings and messages regarding the missing pieces. It seems it required an initial connection to register the lack of any others. But among all of that, there is almost an intimacy to it. One she is dramatically unfamiliar with. It feels invasive, but not necessarily in a bad way. Just the deepest parts hidden inside of her mechanical body are registering sensations where there was previously none. She never feels her wires. But for a brief and jarring moment, she could. “Alright, now here is the big one.” Kate says. ‘Wait that WASN’T the big one?’ Chiyou thinks, before her processors are overrun by the connection. Her HUD flashes colourful static, like a computer upon removing a stick of RAM. It takes a moment for her main computing unit to handle all of the new information at once. She lets out a little gasp as it happens. But, just as quickly as it struck, it went away. And instead, she is left with the embarrassing noise she just made right in front of this stranger. She is a prideful woman, she is a soldier! She should be able to keep a straight face when getting repaired like this. The worst part was that it didn't hurt. If anything… She finds it kind of nice. She gets a little bashful and barks out “D-do properly warn me next time!” “Haha sorry. But don’t worry, this happens for every android undergoing emergency repairs. Just means that you are so good you don’t usually get damaged in battle” She says, with a smooth grin. She feels equally quelled by the compliment, as well as frustrated. She doesn’t usually get damaged badly, but having to be assured and calmed down by someone is another stab at her pride. It's conflicting in a way she isn't used to, because she does feel comfortable withher. sHe has shown her competency with the meticulous work she does flawlessly as they talk. She trusts Her to do a good job. She just doesn’t want to need someone's help like this. Nor for it to feel good…
“Alright, next we will do each of the arms. They shouldn't be as overwhelming as the torso, so don’t worry. Let's start with your right” Kate says as she begins to prep the arm. She quickly adjusts some pieces by the connection point, and pulls in some wires from Chiyou's empty arm socket. She can feel almost a tickling from her touch. Must be due to the lower quality of the pieces that her system can’t as easily block unneeded sensation like that. She notices that her blush mechanism is still functioning after all the damages, and silently curses it out. Small warmth is generated and LED’s underneath the artificial skin create a surprising realistic reddening of her cheeks from the embarrassment of the situation. She hopes and prays Kate doesn’t notice it. But it's hard not to as she literally is staring at her in order to make sure everything is working and to put the new pieces in place. She finishes up some wiring on the first replacement arm and connects the wires to it. It's an odd feeling for Chiyou, since the arm still isn't slotted in yet. But due to the worrying being properly connected, she is able to gain some sensation from it. Move the fingertips, wiggle the elbow. Despite the fact it's almost half a metre from where it should be. Once she finishes marvelling at the experience, Kate makes a little comment. “Pretty crazy being able to move it when it's not in place yet, huh?”s he says with a little chuckle. Another wave of shame washes over her. She feels like a little girl playing with a new toy, not the proud and confident soldier she is. She puts the idea to rest.
“Alright, now let's see if we can click it into place…” Kate mutters as she readies the arm. She moves it into the slot, and it clunks against the steel of her torso. She feels as it invades the gaping hole where her arm should be. There is something very unique about the feeling. Something almost erotic. She can feel from the connected sensory wires as the metals gently clink. Kate's imperceivably small little shakes of her hand resounding in Chiyou’s head. Kate has remarkably steady hands. But they are remarkably steady human hands. There is nothing to stop the microscopic twitching and movements of her muscles and tissue working in conjunction. Finally it fits cleanly into the slot. And suddenly Chiyou feels it click into pace. She lets out a small gasp as it does. She feels it properly interfacing with her system, and her joins connect within. It is a deeply intimate feeling, her insides moving around and forming these electrical and steel bonds. “You ok?” Kate quickly asks, upon hearing the involuntary noise escape Chiyou’s lips. “I-I’m fine!” She quickly blurts out. “It’s ok… I am just… not used to these feelings.” She says stubbornly. She doesn’t even like admitting this. But she knows she is no longer in the place to pretend like it's not affecting her at all. So she sheepishly admits that she is not used to it. Keeping the fact that she might even like it buried considerably deeper down. But it seems her strategy might have backfired. “Oh I am sorry. Is there anything I can do to help you acclimate to this?” Kate asks. A mix of pragmatic solution seeking and genuine concern lines her voice. Chiyou doesn’t know how to respond. She doesn’t need anything done for her. She is not experiencing a negative feeling in any way. But she can’t admit to that, and she can’t even pretend to need someone elses help. She feels so far from the proud super soldier hero she was mere hours ago. And it is so conflicting.
“N-no it's ok. I am a soldier! I know how to push through!” Chiyou says, with a feigned confidence that might be a bit too obvious. Whether due to naivety or pity, Kate goes along with it. “Ah good, I am glad to hear it. You really are strong.” She says. “And you are going to need to be, because we are not close to done.” She follows with a little chuckle. A chuckle that Chiyou joins in with. But of course, her laugh is less authentic. She only has a few laugh sound clips to cycle through. It is easy to create a synthesised voice that sounds realistic. But the laugh is such a realistic and human trait that it can't truly be emulated. So while Chiyou feels the drive to laugh naturally. Her AI is more than advanced enough to match humans. She can’t laugh in the same way. She can just play her laughing program to get the point across. Kate then stands up and moves to the other side of Chiyou, and brings the second arm with her. She places it down and toys with the wires in much the same way as before. In the meantime, Chiyou tests the capabilities of her hands and joints a little bit better than before. Not playing with toys, but testing the effectiveness as a weapon. That's what she tells herself.
She watches as her fingers move with the slightest of delay to her desired speed. She can feel the lesser quality of the temporary parts. It is bizarre to will your hand to move, and for it to just barely lag behind. She feels more distant from her body. But aside from the lag, all of the joints are slick and smooth. She jolts once again as the wires connect without her even noticing. Another embarrassing noise, embarrassing reaction. Embarrassing little feeling festering deep inside her that she might like this. It feels like she is having such a private moment with Kate, and their connection builds each time Kate manipulates Chiyou’s body further. She has no heart or lungs, so no reason to breathe. But the psychological experience she is having is enough to make her pant. The overwhelming feelings, the pleasurable invasion of parts. All of it is crashing together to show Chiyou parts of herself she never knew existed. And she is wrapped in the throws of confusion as she makes sense of these new feelings in comparison to her steadfast pride and stubbornness. Chiyou is a powerful android. A defender of justice. But as she is rebuilt piece by piece, she discovers that she might be a whole lot more.
“And you are sure you don’t need a break?” Kate asks. “I am about to put this one into the connection slot” She says. “I can handle it! I don’t want to delay the repair and keep the world government waiting.” Chiyou says. Trying to remind herself of her principles, her dedication. “A true soldier I see. Alright, brace yourself…” She says as Kate steadies her hands. Chiyou can feel with the primitive sensors as Kate’s hands grip tighter onto the metal. Kate lets out a slightly shaky sigh. It seems the pressure of not damaging any of these wires or pieces is actually quite high. She slowly moves the piece into place and Chiyou shuts her eyes tight. It feels nice to just tense her synthetic muscles as best she can when anticipating something like this. It clicks into place, Chiyou grips the grass next to her and holds in any noises she might accidentally make. She realises that she feels more like a woman in bed trying to hold back a moan than a soldier getting healed trying to hold back a pained scream. Hopefully Kate can’t tell the difference. Chiyou feels ashamed that she can.
“Ok, there we go! That wasn’t too bad! Next are the legs, and then there will be some final fiddling with settings and certain features need to be adjusted. After that we can head to the world government's labs in peace.” She explains to Chiyou. It feels good to know that she won’t have to keep up this intense game of acting but she also doesn’t want it to be over just this quickly. She is struggling to justify these feelings to herself anymore. Her processor is probably burning up with all of these dizzying thoughts running through her central computer. “But first, before we start on the legs, I think it's best to run a diagnostic on the parts so far.” Kate says. “Could you do that for me hun?” She asks sweetly. This is something Chiyou can do!
“Alright, RUNNING DIAGNOSTIC PROGRAM” She says, her speech translating from her realistic synthetic voice to a considerably more robotic and rudimentary one. All perceived emotion and subtext is completely lost as she reads out her program's text.
“TESTING… TESTING… TESTING…
TWO ERRORS FOUND.
ERROR NO. 1 TEMPERATURE MANAGEMENT DRIVE NON FUNCTIONING. SOFTWARE ISSUE SUSPECTED.
ERROR NO. 2 PHYSICAL SENSORY MECHANISMS MALFUNCTIONING HARDWARE ISSUE SUSPECTED” Chiyou reads out in a monotone, mindless manner. If any program like this runs, her processors do not allow her to think any thoughts or perform any actions outside of the purview of the program. “Alright… hm. Good to know. Exit Diagnostic program” Kate says, which causes it to shut down in turn. Only now can CHiyou actually consider the information gained. She would have taken a sigh of relief if she could breathe. The sensory malfunctions must be why she is having all of these weird unscrupulous feelings! She doesn't have to analyse them any further. “Well alright, Temperature management is only an issue under extreme stress so that can be dealt with later. Besides I am sure the scientists and researchers at the UN are far more skilled with the software side of things than I am. Let me see here…” Kate says as she flips open a panel on Chiyou’s chest. “Ohhh I see what the problem is. Sometimes in shipment some wires can tangle before being connected to anything. It seems some connections aren’t working here, causing the problem” Kate says happily. Gaining pleasure in finding a problem and knowing how to fix it. She meddles with the wires further. She grabs some tools from her bag next to her and begins to rewire some of the broken cables. Chiyou relishes the continued relief. “Ok! Done. So now that the sensory wires are repaired, it should be much stronger now!” Kate says with an innocent smile. “W-wait h-huh?” Chiyou stammers. “Yeah? The sensory wire was damaged so the signal was dampened. I did think you were underreacting to the reconstruction. Usually it's pretty intense.” She says contemplatively.
Chiyou doesn’t know how to react. Just when she was reaching the breaking point of keeping it all to herself, she hears this? She finds that it is going to be considerably more intense from now on. Can she handle it? Will she just have to give in? She shakes her head just a little, as Kate looks away to grab the leg pieces. Chiyou just has to move forward. Brave this quagmire as best she can. Like a soldier would. “Let's do this!” Chiyou cheers, much to the surprise of Kate. “Y-yeah! Let's do it!” Kate replies. At first a little confused, but then consumed by the enthusiasm. Kate places the leg beneath Chiyou, and reaches out to the cables from the connecting sockets. Chiyou feels her brain overload with the sensation, as she feels Kate's delicate fingers run along the cables. She grits her teeth, clings tight to the grass, and braces herself. She feels a small run of electricity as the wires slot into place. The tiny little signals running from the computer in her head to the end of her mechanical foot. A connection that tingles and teases her all the way down. She wiggles the steel toes in place to see them work. She flicks up her foot ever so slightly. It surprises Kate and gives her a little shock. After realising the situation, she then follows the little shock with a giggle. “Sorry, even I forget you can control it when it's not in place yet.” She says with a chuckle. Chiyou shares in the humour. “Do you want me to go slow? Or just do it all at once?” Kate asks Chiyou, as she holds the leg up and readies it for connection. “A-all at once I think…” Chiyou says, getting ready for the overwhelming sensation she is about to experience. “Ok… Three… Two-” And on two, Kate swiftly, but delicately, shoves the piece into the slot. It clicks almost instantly, and remains. Kate looks up to see Chiyou’s reaction. She sees as her face is contorted in a bizarre concoction of emotion. A testament to the abilities of the scientists who spent countless days and nights working on her facial features. The synthetic skin looks just right as the metallic process mimicking muscles just underneath pulls it around. The slight twitches in expression as the pieces have pre-programmed shakiness for authenticity. They found that an android can be plenty robotic and still be relatable if the face looks right. All of this science and engineering has come together in this cacophonous mix of pleasure and anguish. “F-fuckk.” Chiyou barely mutters. She feels all of the electrical impulses run through her dense web of wires and cords. Her processors are being lit up with the signals to convert to the part of her computer that stores her consciousness. She feels each steel piece, piston, pneumatics, motherboard, and every other metal contraction inside of her as the new leg registers into her sensory database. And all of it is tingling and titillating. She can’t deny the arousal she feels from these sensations. The satisfaction of metal being placed into its right slot. The end of a cable softly piercing into its port before sliding all the way in. “Only one more?” She asks sheepishly. “Only one more.” Kate replies calmly.
Chiyou tries to calm herself down and just prepare for this one final step. All of her parts are now put together, it's just this last leg to be attached. She will no longer be trapped in the anguish of conflicted feelings. But she also won’t be able to enjoy this oddly exciting experience. To feel that same tickle of the newly attached pieces. The gentle feel of a finger running along a wire. The sweet clunk as it slots in, digital shivers running up her newly installed spine. But the process marches forward all the same. “Ok. Last one!” Kate says. Chiyou shuts her eyes once more, and makes a final decision to simply just enjoy this last piece. She almost gasps once her wires are pulled on. She shivers with delight as they are slot into their rightful ports, and she gains access to this new limb. This large piece of metal and electronics is now a part of her body through such simple means. Her bits and pieces all being toyed with as she is put back together. She feels Kate's hands wrap around her leg. One near the upper thigh, the other just below the knee. Kate sits just below Chiyou and begins to move it in. Chiyou can feel the iron pieces ever so slightly grating against each other as it finds its place. Before eventually it to clicks with satisfaction, causing a more proud and pronounced moan out of Chiyous mouth than she would have ever let out at the beginning. It feels good. It feels exciting. She doesn’t want to deny that anymore. But maybe having Kate see all of this is still pretty embarrassing. “Feels good to be done?” She asks. Chiyou can’t tell if that was supposed to be sarcasm or alluding to her behaviour. Or just a coincidence. Despite her supremely complicated and powerful computer, it still struggled to interpret the subtleties of human emotion and subtext. She can complete several hours worth of essay writing, maths equations and strategizing in an instant. But interpreting a human being is a league onto its own. Regardless, she decides to take it in stride. “Yeah… Thank you for all your help.” Chiyou says. Kate smiles in response. “Well, all that's left to do is to do a stress test. Run testing program” Kate says. Just as she does, Chiyous mind is taken over by the more rudimentary and utilitarian coding of a program. Her face goes flat, as all emotion leaves it. Chiyou stands up and begins to stress out each of the joints. She robotically moves them to the bounds that each can take. Ensuring no issues or stiffness remains. She continues for a while before stopping. “NO HARDWARE ISSUES DETECTED.” Chiyou reports joylessly. “TEMPERATURE MANAGEMENT DRIVE ERROR REMAINS.” She points out again. The robotic side of her can’t really understand that they had already agreed to handle it later. But just to be thorough, Kate checks. “What are your internal temperature levels at?” She asks. She is a little less soft in her tone. There isn’t any need to be soft when talking to a robot in this state. “CENTRAL PROCESSING AT 38.9 DEGREES CELSIUS. EXPECTED RANGE BETWEEN 34 TO 46 WHEN AT IDLE PROCESSING.
LIQUID COOLANT SYSTEM IS NOT RESPONDING TO TEST COMMANDS. WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COOL SYSTEM DURING COMBAT SCENARIO.” She reads out. Her tone is disjointed and mechanical. “Well. There should be no battles along the way, so that is more than fine. Exit program” She says. She watches as the consciousness returns to Chiyou’s expression. Chiyou almost loses balance for a second, but catches herself just fine. The weight of all the pieces is quite different to what she is used to. But it's nothing she can’t adapt to quickly enough. She is a soldier after all. “Ok, I need to keep looking around for any discarded or broken pieces left behind.” Kate tells her. “Gotcha. I will be heading to headquarters. Thank you for all your help.” Chiyou replies. “I was just doing my job. And thank you for doing yours. You protected all of us today.” Kate says with a smile. Chiyou returns with one of her own, before flying up into the sky. She uses her GPS system to quickly find the direction of the UN headquarters and charges off. As she makes her way there, she reminisces on the experience as a whole. It was so challenging but so nice. She still feels a little conflicted. But she is a lot more content to admit the pleasure she experienced throughout. Maybe she can fight a little more confidently if she knows getting repaired isn’t all too bad. She smiles and tightens her fists. She can’t wait to serve the world government more.
