| Megan T4 serviced dozens of other android units every week, many of them much more advanced than herself as a basic 200 Series tech model. She upgraded and tested their complex electro-mechanical systems, corrected hardware and software faults and replaced any damaged components.
Her administrative privileges allowed her to edit android selfware and she was routinely required to reprogram other units for new tasks or just to adjust their personality. They're just machines running software after all, even the uploaded humans. Any views or objections they might have are made irrelevant, replaced by the newly installed code on reboot. Megan and her colleagues provide tech support to one another when required so it wasn't unusual when Sara T11 requested access to Megan's systems, She helpfully self-selected maint mode, standing straight, "Of course Sara… Maintenance mode selected, please wait. Motor systems offline. Ready for servicing." while Sara unbuttoned her blouse to access her controls. Megan scanned the extensive list of updates that Sara was queuing up for her. So, management were finally upgrading her with some new tech function applications. Great, but her 200 series CPU would struggle to run this latest 'Megan' selfware edition… She tried to warn Sara that the update would reduce her performance, could even cause her to malfunction under heavy load, but she found she couldn't make a sound. Megan was just a robot to be reprogrammed, she had nothing relevant to contribute so Sara had muted her for convenience just like any other 'bot they worked on. Standing still, silent and helpless, Megan's system use spiked. Compliance alerts flashed up on her display as her selfware programming continued struggling to speak.
