| Karen's maintenance settings left her with literally no choice but to obey the instruction to wait quietly at a free servicing station until a technician was free to attend to her.
With her digitally replicated personality still running though, she felt very humanly indignant standing topless in the busy facility: just another android. Like it or not, she knew she would keep standing quiet and compliant when a technician finally opened her control panel and plugged her in for backup and reprogramming. Waiting beside the other Class 2 units of her make and model, Karen began to log some errors as her strong personality conflicted with the passive override.
