You take a bag of groceries – whatever wasn’t packaged in tins and boxes has long since decayed into dust. You follow her inside, again noting the irregular spasms of her hips accompanied by a squeal of grinding machinery. Inside a modest kitchen, she takes the bags from you and says with a warm smile, “Thank you so much. Why don’t you go upstairs and say hi to Amber?”
