This is a simple introduction to me for your own perusal.
The Basics
- Pen-Name: Gorgo or Pyeknu
- Real Name: Frederick Dean Herriot (I normally go by Fred)
- Hometown: Welland, Ontario, Canada
- Date of Birth: 17 July 1966
Biography
I'm an only child born of a divorced couple. I've never known my father and most likely never will. My mother was a teacher who started in a one-room schoolhouse in the country in the late 1950s and taught until 1995 (she sadly departed this life in 2001). I was raised at a home in Welland with my mother and maternal grandmother (who died in 1998). I see myself as heterosexual, though I've never really had much in the way of relationships.
After graduating from high school in 1985, I served in the Canadian Armed Forces as an administration clerk (military secretary) for six years, then attended Brock University from 1991 to 1996, getting my degree in history. I then went to South Korea where I taught at various hagwon (private night schools) until 2005, when I was diagnosed with type II diabetes and lost one of my toes to osteomyelitis (bone infection), the complications of which are still affecting me to this day. After returning to Canada, I became a customer service representative at Convergys, a call centre in Welland that currently supports a major American telecommunications company with first-level customer service support.
My Interest In ASFR
Some people may remember an old Curt Swain Superman comic from the early 1970s when the Man of Steel fought android doubles of all the people he knew, including Lois Lane and Lana Lang (I don't remember the issue number). That, along with the Bionic Woman/Six Million Dollar Man crossover three-part episode "Kill Oscar," pretty much got me hooked to the point where I began to fantasize about my own classmates (including a girl I eventually had a crush on for ten years!) being turned into androids thanks to a Dr. Franklin-like character I eventually named "Dr. Andrews" (see my take-off of Kishin's Nova stories at the Legacy of Timeless Beauty Archive to see how I came to eventually visualise that universe).
I believe I am the first person who probably ever wrote an ASFR-themed anime fanfiction lemon story, The Galatea Syndrome (based on the famous anime series Urusei Yatsura, created by Rumiko Takahashi), which is available both at the LTBSA and at the RAAC (rec.arts.anime.creative) Usenet archive (wherever that may be). I've also done other stories, either based off peoples work (like my recent Rinrin and the Doctor's Appointment which can be found here), stuff based on anime series I've liked or original themes.
But since I work these days 40 hours a week staring at a computer screen as I help folks south of the border with their issues, I normally don't do much in the way of writing these days.
My Views of Gynoids
