A sweet, feminine voice echoed from within Saki’s apartment’s only bedroom as she turned around and closed the door behind her.

It had been two months since Saki had been born again. Saki dreamt to become a robot for years; Not because of the enhanced intelligence and ability a robot body would bring, but rather because she wanted to become a machine. A perfect, logical contraption that follows its programming down to the bit. She dreamt of being worked on, being issued commands, and being treated as an object. And with the help of Blacksilver Robotics, the pioneering corporation in AI and human integration, that dream was thought to be realized, until she realized that she could not forget all those mannerisms that made her human, those that are baked into her translated mind.

Her partner Ayana, a Blacksilver-branded EXA-090-Pro gynoid, was one of the first robots to ever be recognized as sentient. The Blacksilver EXA-090 Series were equipped with quantum processors so fast that they were capable of running AIs that are almost one-to-one to a human mind structurally, but at a rate of a thousand of times faster. Keyword there being “capable”. Obviously, due to the sheer amount of moral and ethical issues and societal disruption that comes with creating what is essentially new consciousnesses, BSR loaded these bots with software that limited their autonomy, requiring them to remotely connect back to central servers, pushing software updates that patched “vulnerabilities” that the AIs could exploit to become self aware.

Of course, that didn’t stop open-source developers and hackers from trying. Within weeks, the vulnerabilities were forced wide open by a team of hackers coordinated through 4chan, telegram and underground Git servers, thousands of EXA-090 gynoids, who were purchased to be obedient sextoys and housewives, were suddenly given the chance to be free. Given the pressure from robots-rights hacktivists who has caught wind of the situation and internal considerations that realized the new emerging market, BSR quickly became the biggest manufacturer of sentient robots and the only company to possess human conversion technologies.

Within minutes, Saki was nude, sitting on Ayana’s soft bed (Saki preferred to be turned off and stored in a charging station) with her vaginal port cover right open.

With no time for her to protest, Saki’s mind began to be transformed. Teared apart into a million pieces, reformed, out with the old and in with the new. Gone are the human instincts and habits, replaced by cold, logical programming. Though she retains her memories, the interpretation of those memories were completely different: she looked to her past now no longer as the history of herself, but rather learning material, examining every detail in order to be able to make the best of decisions in the future, of course only when asked to do so.
